ARCHITECTURAL PLAN REVIEW
The decisions made during the architectural planning stage will have a lasting impact on how your home ultimately functions.
Our Architectural Plan Review provides a specialist interior design perspective on your proposed new build, extension or renovation before the internal layout is finalised.
Working from your architect’s plans, we consider how the proposed rooms will actually be used and furnished — looking beyond the footprint of the building to consider furniture, kitchens, bathrooms, storage, cabinetry and everyday circulation.
The objective is simple: to identify opportunities and potential problems while they are still relatively easy to address.
WHAT WE REVIEW
We assess your proposed plans with consideration for:
- Room proportions and functionality
- Furniture placement
- Circulation and practical clearances
- Kitchen and utility requirements
- Bathroom and ensuite layouts
- Bedroom layouts and storage
- Wardrobe requirements
- Door positions and openings
- Window positions in relation to furniture and cabinetry
- Opportunities for integrated storage and bespoke joinery
- Relationships between adjoining spaces
- Key internal sightlines
- Areas where space could potentially be used more effectively
Where we identify an opportunity to improve the interior layout, we will explain our recommendation and highlight it for discussion with your architect or relevant project professional.

WHAT'S NOT INCLUDED
Architectural Plan Review is an advisory review service rather than a detailed interior design package.
It does not include:
- Redrawing or redesigning your architectural plans
- Detailed kitchen or cabinetry design
- Detailed bathroom design
- Scaled furniture plans
- Interior elevations
- Electrical or lighting plans
- Material and finish specification
- Product sourcing
- 3D visualisation
- Technical, construction or manufacturing drawings

WHEN SHOULD I BOOK?
The ideal time to undertake an Architectural Plan Review is once your initial architectural plans have been developed but before the internal layout is finalised and before construction begins.
Early review gives you the greatest opportunity to explore potential improvements before decisions become more difficult or costly to change.
