FIRST-FIX PLANNING

Once the principal room layouts have been established, the next stage is making sure the electrical, lighting and plumbing requirements relate correctly to the way each space will be used.

Our First-Fix Planning service develops the interior information your project team needs to coordinate these decisions before work progresses on site.

Depending on the requirements of your project, this can include:

  • Furniture layout plans
  • Electrical point locations
  • Socket locations
  • TV and data requirements
  • Switching requirements
  • Decorative lighting positions
  • Kitchen appliance positions
  • Relevant plumbing positions
  • Bathroom fixture positions
  • Fitted furniture locations
  • Coordination of services with proposed cabinetry
  • Review of relevant ceiling and architectural features from an interior design perspective

DESIGN COORDINATION

Where appropriate, Muse can meet with your builder or other members of your project team to explain the design intent and review how the proposed interior layouts relate to the work on site.

Our role is interior design and spatial coordination.

Structural design, engineering calculations, building regulations compliance, construction detailing and certification remain the responsibility of the appropriately qualified members of your project team.
